Here is the schedule for events happening this week at Horse Creek Church of God. Wednesday March 27th at 6:30pm, Footwashing & Communion Service Saturday March 30th at 2:00pm, Easter Egg Hunt for the youth Sunday March 31st at 7:15am, Sunrise Service followed by breakfast Sunday School is cancelled that day Morning Worship will start at 10:00 am instead of 10:30. Evening Service will be cancelled. Please make plans to come and join us as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. |

At 3 AM this morning Brother Jr. passed from this world to his heavenly home. He touched the lives of many as a pastor, singer, mentor and friend. Heaven has a new saint today. He will be missed by all.
The funeral arrangements for Bro. Jr. are as follows: Visitation at Jeffers Mortuary (Afton location on 11-E Hwy) - Thu 1/13/13 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral service Friday 2/1/13 at 2:00 pm at Horse Creek Church of God. He will be buried at Green-Lawn Memory Gardens on Hwy 70 (Asheville Hwy) Friday following the church service.

The East Tennessee Winter Camp-meeting will be held Feb 3 thru 6. Sunday evening service and Wednesday evening service will be postponed at Horse Creek in order for you to attend the Camp-meeting services. This year's speaker is Tonya Shupe from Oak Hill, West Virginia. Service times are 6:00 pm Sunday evening and 7:00 pm Monday thru Wednesday. Please make plans to attend the East Tennessee Winter Camp-meeting at the East Tennessee Church of God Campgrounds located on the Asheville Highway. |

The annual business meeting for the church will be held after the morning service on January 27. There will be no Sunday School and the morning service will begin at 10:00 am rather than the usual 10:30 am. The business meeting will immediately follow the morning church service. Please be there to learn about the blessings of last year, plans for the upcoming year, and a SPECIAL SURPRISE announcement! |

Horse Creek Church of God will be hosting a Reformation Renewal Rally October 14th thru 17th. The Rev. Bill Neece will start the rally Sunday evening at 6:00 with the message "Christian Separation and Holiness". Monday evening at 6:30 PM, Dr. Darryl Allen will share a message on "Sin and Sins". Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM, Rev. Gerald Rudd will share a message on "Revival for Survival". Then on Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM, Rev. Bill Neece will bring the Rally to an end with a message on "Having the Heart of a Soul Winner". Everyone is invited to come and participate in this Reformation Renewal Rally. We are anticipating wonderful Holy-Spirit filled services as we worship and rejoice together and partake of these timely messages of truth. Please plan to come and worship with us. |

The WCG will be hosting a Lord's Acre Sale on Sept 15th. There will be a yard sale beginning at 7:30 AM, Hamburger and hot-dog lunches with chips and a drink for $5.00 will be available starting at 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM. At 2:00 PM, there will be an auction featuring baked goods, hand-made quilts, and other various items. Please make plans to come and support the Women of the Church of God during this exciting day. |

Lifetouch Photography will be making family and/or individual portraits August 16 and 17 from 2 pm till 8 pm and on Saturday Aug 18 from 9:30 am till 4:00 pm. Everyone will receive a free 8x10 and a free directory portrait. Packages will be available to buy, but you are under no obligation to purchase a package. Free church directories will be given to those attending Horse Creek Church of God when the directories are completed. Non-church members may sign up to have portraits taken if they wish to do so. June 24th, bikers are invited to attend Worship Service and afterward we will ride to Carver's Apple Orchard in Cosby for lunch, then thru Foothills Parkway back to Newport to Del Rio to home thru Houston Valley. Hope you will come and enjoy wonderful Christian fellowship while we ride. |
